Born Free spent 39 years on Lake Pontchartrain with brief trips out into the Gulf of Mexico. Purchased five years ago by her current owner, she has been cruised extensively along the Gulf coast, the Florida Keys and the Bahamas.Ã?Â
When the owner purchased the boat, she hauled it and had the boat painted with Imron. Within the past two years, the transmission and v-drive have been rebuilt. A solar system has been installed and 4 new AGM batteries have been added.Ã?Â
A newer inflatable dinghy and Johnson 2-stroke outboard are included.
Ã? 60 Sailmasters were built between 1981 and 1984. Born Free is the original MKI design, with a large v-berth cabin forward, settee berths port and starboard in the main saloon. A navigation desk is to starboard aft of the settee and there is a deep locker in the port side of the cockpit.Ã?Â
