About Gulfstar Trawlers and Motoryachts
Gulfstar Yachts began production in 1971 in St. Petersburg Florida with a series of popularly priced and well received motoryachts and trawlers.
One of the few firms to build both Power and Sailing yachts, the Gulfstar grew rapidly over the years and the company became on of the leading yacht manufacturers of the 70's and 80's under the direction of Vince Lazarra.
They ceased production of sailboats in the 80's but continued to build their popular Motoryachts.
Gulfstar was aquired by Viking Yacht Company in 1987

Looks are deceiving; while she has a genuine motoryacht appearance, she's actually built on a semi-displacement, trawler type hull with a deep keel and relatively flat aft sections.
In other words she's really a Trawler with trawler style speeds and performance and Motoryacht comfort in accommodations.
Inside the floorplan is arranged with a 2 stateroom/2 head galley down interior and a notably spacious master stateroom aft. Both heads have stall showers The salon has a lower helm station and deck access to starboard of the lower helm. A ladder leads to the "stand-up" engine room an forward� a pump room forward separates the engine room from the generator and air conditioning units.
Topside hardtop protects the aft deck from the elements, and wide side decks provide secure access to the foredeck
