Electric storage includes 2 Duracell group 27 batteries, 2 Napa group 24 batteries, and 2 West Marine batteries forward for the bow thruster.

There are curtains for the portlights, and all upholstery - both below and in the cockpit - appears to be in "like-new condition with no signs of tears or stains.

Moving topside, the cockpit is very spacious and the full enclosure with roll-up isinglass windows provides great protection from inclement weather and great ventilation with the windows rolled up. There is plenty of seating and the cushions are thick and comfortable. There are two stereo speakers connected to the Fusion stereo below.

The helm is conveniently laid out with switches to starboard, analog gauges to port, and navigational electronics up to eye level. These include a Raymarine Axiom 12 MFD including Raymarine Quantum 2 Doppler radar, Raymarine EV100 autopilot, and controls for the SidePower SE 100/185T bow thruster. The Biggest Pros and Cons

Pros

Robust Build Quality: The Gulfstar 44 MK II features a sturdy fiberglass hull and a well-engineered design that provides durability and safety in various sea conditions.

Comfortable Interior: Spacious cabins with ample headroom, a well-equipped galley, and multiple berths make it ideal for extended cruising or liveaboard use.

Good Sailing Performance: With a moderate sail plan and a full keel, the boat offers stable handling and reliable performance, particularly suited for long-distance cruising.

Generous Storage: Plenty of storage space below deck for gear, supplies, and provisions, enhancing onboard convenience.

Classic Aesthetic: Timeless styling both inside and out appeals to sailors who appreciate traditional yacht design.

Cons

Older Systems: Being a 1984 model, some mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems may require updating or maintenance to meet modern standards.

Heavier Displacement: The full keel and solid build contribute to a heavier displacement, which can result in slower speeds compared to more modern, lighter cruisers.

Limited Maneuverability: The keel design may make tight docking or maneuvering in marinas more challenging without experienced handling.

Maintenance Requirements: As with many older yachts, ongoing upkeep is necessary to preserve the vessel’s condition and seaworthiness.

Interior Layout: While spacious, the interior design may feel somewhat dated compared to contemporary yachts, and customization might be needed to suit personal preferences.
