The Owners of Sun Gypsy just completed a 2 year Loop. Prior to starting the loop the owners spent $70,000+ upgrading Sun Gypsy to insure maximum comfort and worry free cruising.

In April 2017 - Owner's had the following work completed at the yard:

  • Bottom sand blasted and sanded
  • New barrier coat
  • Two complete coats of bottom paint, a third around the boot stripe and in about two feet
  • New boot stripe
  • All thru hulls and shut off valves serviced
  • Rudder logs repacked
  • Shafts and cutlass bearings checked (new with 800 hrs of service)

Previous Re-Fit included the following:

Re-Built Lehman 120s - current hours 830, Prop Shafts replaced, Props, Cutlass Bearings - modified packing to introduce cool water ahead of cutlass bearings, all bilge pumps replaced, teak decks removed and deck resurfaced, new Dinghy Davit with winch, Davit Bases installed on both sides, custom built Swim Platform, new Mast for Electronics and much more!
