Upon stepping aboard DRAAGEN, a Grand Banks 47 Europa, you are immediately greeted by the classical look and meticulous craftsmanship, but also by the feel that this vessel is designed for serious long-distance cruising or weekend getaways. Her Caterpillar C-9 diesels, which just completed the 1000 hour maintenance provide economical power to make those trips. The most recent, being to New England and back. She is a very well maintained and equipped vessel that features two staterooms, two heads, upper and lower helm stations, 12' dinghy, many other amenities and a long list of additional equipment.
Entering the salon, you immediately experience the openness with large windows. The well-equipped helm station is forward, with a U-shaped galley area aft to port and L-shaped seating aft to port with two comfortable arm chairs opposite to starboard. A TV is hidden to starboard within an electric lift and a teak hi-lo table to port. Descending to the port of the helm is the bow owner stateroom with queen size berth, ensuite head with spacious shower. Aft to starboard is the second cabin with twin athwartship berths. Opposite to port is a second head with shower and combo washer dryer accessed behind cabinet doors.
From the aft deck you can either raise the stairs to access the engine room or access the spacious flybridge which includes a wet bar, comfortable seating, a teak table and two Stidd helm chairs forward. The entire bridge is enclosed with a three-quarter enclosure with seven U-zips.
With her bow and stern thrusters DRAAGEN can maneuver into any tight spot. Walking forward to the bow is very adequate ground tackle to anchor in any hidden harbor with spare anchors available.
Economical speed: 8 knots @ 4 gph
A ten-year maintenance log, inventory and exclusion list are available aboard DRAAGEN.
