Swan Song is a classic one-time custom build by noted designer/builder Robert Finch
Swan Song was conceived as a comfortable, able and fast small boat for
coastal or long-distance cruising by a couple, with maybe an occasional
guest or two. The hull design is based on the original Islander30/Bahama
30, possibly Islander Yachts most successful product, being in
continuous production from about 1970 until they closed in 1985, and the
boat was built at Bainbridge Island, WA, 2003-2005. During lofting the
stern was extended to give an LOA of 31'7", the beam was increased 1"
and the sheer line raised 2". The original slightly reversed transom
tipped to vertical - the overall effect being greatly increased interior
volume.
