Originally built for the Japanese government by Narasaki Shipbuilding Hokkaido in Japan in February 1995, M/V BLUE HUNTER was used as a training ship for the Japanese Fishery School and was in service until her conversion by Harbor Yacht Services in Subic Bay, Philippines. Harbor Yacht Services is a highly experienced yard with eight successful yacht conversions. Design and execution were done under direct supervision of the British shipyard owners, who offer experience as Marine Engineer and Naval Architect. All surfaces on the M/V Blue Hunter were taken down to bare metal and refinished to NEW condition and finally finished to yacht quality. ALL NEW systems, interior layout and finishes were installed in addition to fixtures, appliances and electronics.
Distinctive midships tender deck houses the ship's NEW 16' tender with 70-hp Yamaha plus a NEW 21' RIB with 90-hp Yamaha serviced by a NEW 3.5 ton marine crane. Interior features include a total of five staterooms for up to 10 guests, full-beam master suite with separate sitting area, and quarters to accommodate 4 crew. Saloon deck level offers views and formal dining in the main cabin plus covered outdoor area with built-in settee and teak table; NEW Burmese teak deck sole at the saloon deck extends to the entire main deck level plus the after deck. Clean and modern finishes throughout include German leather paneling, Belgian wool carpets and polished stainless.
