Keylypso is a unique vessel designed to take 32 passengers comfortably for snorkeling, sunset cruises, or eco tours. She was built by Coral Isle Yachts in Marathon Florida. She is very well maintained. The hulls are similar to those on a sailing catamaran used for passenger service, they are a very efficient design with sharp entry and smooth water flow. The higher freeboard allows the vessel to operate comfortably in rougher conditions than many passenger cats. The twin 150 HP Suzuki engines were recently replaced and have low hours.
The COI is current. The boat is in very good condition and is ready for charter. They have updated the retractable swim platforms and ladder on the stern. They added power steering to the Sea Star helm with a hydraulic tie bar. The engines were replaced by Creative Marine and maintenance records are available..
The boat has been owned and operated by the same 2 friends for the past 20 years. They are both now at retirement age and read to pass the torch to the next generation. They have a slip close to Peanut Island and Palm Beach Inlet that can be transferred, good ratings on Trip Advisor and Yelp, a good Facebook page and website that can be assumed. They use a recognized web based system for bookings and to maintain their mailing list.
The vessel comes with all of the USCG safety equipment, EPIRB replaced in 2024, extra lines for securing during storms, 5 underwater lights for night snorkeling, 20 sets of mask snorkel and fins, snorkel vests, 35 wetsuits, bean bag seating, and water chairs.
One of the partners is willing to work with the new owners for 60 days as they learn the business and act as a consultant for the first year as part of the purchase price. He is also willing to captain the boat on a per trip basis for the next 2 years.
