The 29' Crosby Hawk has served for years as a rugged, dependable, Cape Cod built boat. Her reputation for stability, economy and quality has impressed owners from Alaska to the Bahamas.
Her 12' 6" beam is nearly 3' wider than similar length boats.
"Dutch Uncle" has had two owners and two refits since built. The original owner kept her on Tilghman Island, Md. and refitted her with a new (2006) engine in 2008, a custom hardtop, swim platform and bow pulpit (making her 32' overall).
The current owner kept her in the Northern Neck and gave her the second refit including removal of all wood and replaced with Corecell, epoxy beams, plastic under the sole, and various other upgrades and improvements.
Some of these upgrades and improvements include:
- Original engine replaced in 2008
- Fusion sound system and cockpit speakers
- All wood from bulkhead forward replaced with Corecell foam & epoxy beams in foredeck, and plastic under the sole
- All new plumbing
- All electrical connections have been replaced
- Extra storage in cockpit (three custom wood deck boxes)
- Solar vent in cabin
- Cockpit/Helm heater
- Line cutter on prop shaft
She has been very well cared for and is a rarity in the "downeast" class, so schedule your viewing today!
The Hawk 29 features a horizontal foredeck rising into a short trunk cabin with four opening ports. Custom teak windshield mounts forward of the centerline companionway offering wraparound protection from the elements. Helm and controls are to starboard.
