CARVER FOUND TEMSELVES IN THAT POSITION IN 1996.THEY DECIDED TO TRY AND CAPTURE SOME OF THE SMALLER DIESEL POWER BOAT MARKET.THEY TOOK THE POPULAR 310 CARVER SANTEGO FLYBRIDGE EXPRESS AND INSTALLED TWIN 230 HP. YANMAR DIESELS.THIS MADE A LOT OF SENSE,AND EXPECTATIONS WERE HIGH.THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS THEY WERE SO EXPENSIVE,THEY COULD NOT GET ORDERS.THIS IS WHY THERE WAS ONLY A COUPLE BUILT AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM.IT IS KEPT IN AN ENCLOSED BUILDING,AND SHOWS AS NEW (SEE PICS) THE OWNER HAS ADDED SOME CUSTOM UPGRADES WHICH MAKES IT ONE OF A KIND.CUSTOM EXTENDED SWIM PLATFORM,4 EXTRA PORTHOLES TO ADD ADDITIONAL LIGHT INTO THE SALON AND FORWARD BERTH AREA.SOME EXTRA STAINLESS RAILING AND CUSTOM WINCH. IF YOU

UPDATE: WE HAVE BEEN TOLD BY THE CARVER SERVICE DEPARTMENT THAT RAN THE ID# ON THIS VESSEL ,OF THE 2 BUILT IN 96 WITH DIESELSL,THIS IS THE ONLY ONE WITH THE YANMARS,THE OTHER ONE WAS POWERED WITH VOLVO DIESELS. THE OWNER NOW HAS A BIGGER SMILE ON HIS FACE,BETTER HURRY HE MIGHT RAISE THE PRICE!!!
