WOW!!! That's what you will say when you see this boat. Julia has been totally refurbished from head to toe and she's better than new. Super shiny exterior, with brightly varnished exterior teak, chrome fittings including opening ports. Down below all woodwork is finished bright including the teak and holly sole. And to boot, the inboard diesel has been rebuilt and has low hours as the boat has hardly been used since then. Unlike most traditional boats, the head has been moved far forward eliminating the berths. There is a vanity, lots of storage and counter space with two hanging lockers (wet and dry). The head area is well ventilated with its own hatch and two opening ports. The forward head offers more privacy and elbow room and opens up the main salon offering the largest living area and galley possible in a 25-footer. Headroom is 5'11". A large double settee bunk to port, a starboard single settee and large quarter berth provide sleeping for 4. The L-shaped galley swings around to port so the cook is out of the companionway, yet close to the light and ventilation. In addition to the 2-burner stove, SS sink and large insulated ice box, there's lots of bins and compartments conveniently arranged for easy access and organized storage. The interior has the finest standards of joiner work. The sole is teak and holly. A teak dining table stows out of the way until needed. Like most Cape Dory's, this is a Carl Alberg design with a full keel and attached rudder. But unlike the original Cape Dory 25, the masthead rig is taller and the sail area larger. She's longer at the waterline, wider in the beam and displaces an extra1,120 lbs. The new CD25 handles like a larger boat. The lead is encapsulated within the hull, so no keel to hull separation to deal with and not vulnerable to grounding damage. The hull is a one piece hand laid fiberglass structure (not cored) and the deck is classically Cape Dory with molded in nonskid, generous use of hand rails and toe rails, coamings and trim. The bronze hardware has been replaced with shiny chrome stainless steel self-tailing winches, cleats, 6 opening ports, chocks, etc., which really makes this boat stand alone in beauty. There's a deck hatch, anchor locker forward and the self-bailing cockpit has two lockers.
Just as you see in the photos, the boat is in a heated indoor building, so you can look at it in comfort. Call for an appointment.
