For starters, this boat is owned by a gentleman who has health issues and simply cannot use the boat anymore. He hasn't been on board for 3 years, but it is launched each year and put in its marina slip. While I would not characterize it as a project boat, it definitely needs a good clean up. A power washer on the deck would do it wonders in a hurry. It would be a great starter cruising boat for someone on a budget. The slip for the rest of the summer is paid for, as is haul out and winter storage. This is all included in the asking price. Dockage for the boat should be available for the new owner in 2027. The batteries are good. The engine started right up today (8/4/26) without hesitation and ran quite well. The S2 9.2C is a center cockpit masthead rig. The mast is stepped on the deck. Below there are accommodations you won't find in the aft cockpit model. A huge aft double stateroom with hatch and several opening ports is at the stern of the boat. There is a hinged lift-up extension to make the aft berth larger with a filler cushion. Forward there is a double V-berth with filler cushion. On the port and starboard sides of the main salon, there are shorter seats, of which maybe one could fit a kid. Est headroom 6'4". But, basically it is a 4 person boat for sleeping. There's a removable center-mounted table. The very large head area is enclosed and has a SS sink & vanity, toilet, shower and a small bath tub. Actually this part of the boat is quite clean. Cushions throughout are in very nice condition. Between the forward and aft cabin is a hallway with a cushioned seat across from a chart table which also has the AC and DC panels and VHF Radio. Beneath the chart table, where panels can be removed, there is excellent access to the inboard diesel, stuffing box and battery charger. The galley is across from the head and has a deep SS sink with spigots and a 2 burner alcohol stove. There are two cabinets for galley supplied in addition to the area below the counters. There are lots of storage options throughout. The teak joinery work below is in great condition. There are a lot of opening ports with screens for good ventilation and a forward and aft deck hatch over each berth. This is a fresh water boat. The owner has had it for decades. These models were first built in 1977 and ran through 520 hulls until 1987. Designed by Arthur Edmonds. Exact Sail inventory TBD, but the sails are definitely newer and in good condition. There is a lot going for this boat at an outstanding price (especially with free storage). Call for any additional details.
