Designer's Comments
"She is sort of long and lean," says Jackett. "Her entry is considerably finer than other boats in this class. Her mid-sections are more vee than rounded. That helps with sea-keeping, especially in punching through the sort of short chop that we get on the Great Lakes." Jackett increased the boats overhang aft to have less boat in the water and help minimize wetted surface for light air the rudder is balanced, elliptical, high aspect, and located as far aft as possible to provide the maximum steering leverage with the 60-inch wheel."
Interior
For two couples cruising or living aboard between day races the saloon feels right. The interior is tasteful and comfortable, especially for a performance yacht. It has been described as rich and elegant. The varnished cherry finish adds to a spacious feeling. The head is located to Port at the base of the companionway stairs with a nicely designed head /shower compartment. Stowage throughout is generous. The L-shaped Galley affords a good mix of counter space and security for working underway. The Galley features Isotherm refrigeration and a burner LPG stove with oven. There is a forward facing dedicated Navigation station and Port and Starboard Settees. There are private double berths in the aft cabin and forward V-berth cabin.
