In rough seas, you can't beat a Bertram, and owners say it's the best sea boat they've ever owned. "Free Bird" is a classic with a nine foot long uncluttered cockpit and 11 ft beam, its one of the largest for any boat its size. She's been Repowered with Twin Crusader 300hp engines with only 200 hours on them. Multiple upgrades include the Transmissions rebuilt in 2017, New Shafts 2017, Renewed Props, Swim/Dive Platform renewed, and All exterior wood panels were replaced with Marine board 2017. On deck, 10' Rupp Outriggers, Lewmar 700 Pro series Windlass, Wash down, Hardtop over the Helm Station, Rocket Launchers and more. A major plus with the Bertram 28, the cabin is roomy enough to sleep 4 for extended trips or cruising in the Large V-berth forward, and the hi-low Convertible Dinette. Full aminities include a full compact galley with stove, sink and refrigerator, and enclosed Head with Shower and sink. She has been very well maintained and updated and "Free Bird" is a rock solid performer in any sea, riding on the solid fiberglass deep -v hull that set the standard for offshore boats when it was introduced in 1960. She has been evaluated for a much higher price, but the owner is a two boat owner and is anxious to sell !
