"SAMBA" is a FRESH WATER BOAT.
New rudder boots installed in June 2016.
The Beneteau First 30 (or F30) is a Juan Kouyoumdjain designed dual purpose yacht, with racing performance and offering the comfort of two cabins, head and galley.
"SAMBA" was purchased in Chicago and has been a fresh water boat until 2015 when it was moved down to Miami to participate in the Miami to Key West Regatta.
Her spacious cockpit offers the comfort and safety for a racing crew of 4, and an entertainment space for as many as 6.
With 2 cabins with double berths, and a saloon that can sleep 2 more, SAMBA offers a fun and fast getaway boat for a weekend with all your basic needs.
She comes with a suite of 4 Quantum racing sails: Jib, Main, Asymetrical Spinnaker, and Code Zero on furler. Plus a working Dacron Jib and a Storm Jib.
This racer is ready to compete and entertain. Low hours and only a short seasonal use in Chicago each year, when not in climate controlled storage, has preserved it like new.
Mast mounted Garmin Electronic displays like a real racer, and Chartplotter in the saloon.
Personally, I have never met an owner this meticulous about protecting the boat. Covers on seat cushions, masking tape on cabinet edges, foam padding for corners and surfaces at risk. Every detail has been taken into account.
Even special frictionless tape applied to the coachroof where control lines might cause chafing.
As a racer, she has a faired* bottom and the paint to match, using Interlux VC Offshore Racing Bottom Paint. VC Offshore is a hard, vinyl-based antifouling paint formulated for the serious racer.
* There are several videos online showing this process for smoothing any imperfections on the fiberglass bottom.
SAMBA will be on the hard, with the mast up, ready for survey and sea trial Cape Canaveral, FL.
