The 2017 SX195 is a compact 19-foot bowrider with an 8-foot beam, a dry weight of about 2,434 lbs, and room for eight.
Under the hatch sits Yamaha's 1.8L Super Vortex High Output (SVHO) supercharged four-stroke, driving a jet pump. Independent tests of this generation put it on plane in about 2.5 seconds, to 30 MPH in the mid-5s, and near 52 MPH on top - with surprisingly efficient cruise for a jet. No exposed propeller. Draft around 13 inches. You can run skinny water or take it out on open water.
Yamaha's articulating keel is the quiet hero. It helps the SX195 carve instead of slide, so turns stay planted when you're towing a tube or carving a slalom. Jet thrust plus that keel is why these boats feel more precise than older jet runabouts.
