Silverton Yachts are built by Silverton Marine, a company that was started on a very frigid December day back in 1969, by John and Warren Luhrs. In the nearly 50 years that have passed since then, Silverton yachts have become prized throughout the world. The company takes great pride in it's ability to preserve a tradition of craftsmanship and the fact that it has risen to become an acknowledged value leader in its class.

Silverton's success is a direct result of listening to its owners. They continually invest in new technology, sophisticated design and manufacturing equipment, facilities, and most importantly in people with the same passion to excel that spurred John and Warren Luhrs. Silverton Marine has come to be recognized as a premier mid-sized bridge-boat builder, whose tireless dedication has achieved unequalled performance, comfort, and value.

Silverton is committed to the idea that the goal of excellence is not an impossible task, but rather one that can be accomplished by working closely with dedicated dealers, manufacturing partners, and owner-employees. July 2012 - Dr. Ira Trocki, owner of Egg Harbor Yachts said it is the intention of Egg Harbor Yachts to buy the Silverton and Ovation boat businesses and hire back at least a portion of the workers who were laid off when Silverton Marine Corp. closed their Millville factory in February.

The company hopes to unveil the first new Silverton Yacht at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida on Oct. 25 and the Atlantic City Boat Show in February.
