It suits anglers who want a trailerable rig that fits small mountain lakes, narrow slot canyons and bigger water alike, and the swing-tongue bunk trailer helps it tuck into a garage. With the motor down and the tongue folded, the package measures about 18 feet 6 inches, roughly a foot shorter than the towing length.

The 1650 Angler measures 16 feet 5 inches long with a beam just over 80 inches and carries a five-person seating capacity. The 2026 Sport Edition starts at just over $28,000. Lund uses a riveted aluminum hull rather than a welded one, and the IPS hull running surface helps the boat get on plane and track cleanly. The standard fuel setup is a single removable 6.5-gallon tank, with space in the stern for a second tank to roughly double on-board capacity to around 12 to 13 gallons.

Power tops out at a 50-horsepower outboard on the side console, while the full windshield model accepts a 40, 50 or 60. A Mercury 50-horsepower four-stroke pushes the boat to about 30 mph, with one owner reaching 31 mph carrying two adults and gear, and a Spitfire four-blade prop helps it plane quickly even with weight aft. A full windshield protects the driver and passenger from wind and spray. Trolling-motor buyers can run a 12-volt single battery or step up to a 24-volt setup, with options such as a Minn Kota PowerDrive V2 with micro remote and spot lock; an onboard multi-bank charger and battery tray come built in.

For a 16-foot boat the storage is extensive. The bow features communicating storage that passes through from port to starboard, plus a live well with dividers, a bait bucket and the standard minnow net that comes with every Lund. Locking rod lockers run down both sides and accept rods over 8 feet, with 9-foot rods fitting comfortably. Lund's Sport Track system runs the gunnels so rod holders, cup holders and boat bumpers can be repositioned anywhere, and the newer sport bracket clicks accessories on and off without scratching the hull. Proride seats are now standard.

Buyers who need more boat can step up to the 20-foot Sport Angler, a deep-water fishing platform with a 200-horsepower motor and a 32-gallon fuel tank for all-day range. It is built with I-beam construction for a more rigid hull in rough water, comes pre-rigged and pre-wired for a kicker, has a pre-cut transom for the trolling motor, and adds a built-in fish cleaning station with cutting board, sink and wash-down nozzle. Three removable seats mount in any of five locations, and the Sport Track runs bow to stern on both sides.
