This Whitby 42 ketch, by designer Ted Brewer, can be used as a very comfortable coastal or genuine world cruising yacht. Laume II has been lovingly cared for and constantly upgraded. Major features at the deck level are: custom bowsprit forward; large center cockpit; custom all-weather hardtop with canvas, screens, and two overhead solar panels; and a custom aluminum arch aft for the dinghy and motor. All sails are roller furling and controls come to the cockpit.
Belowdecks she has a galley with a propane stove with oven, microwave, 8 cu. ft. fridge and separate 6 cu.ft freezer. There is pressurized hot/cold water, two sinks and huge storage for food and utensils.
The salon has a spacious L-shaped settee which converts to a double bunk. There is massive storage behind and below the settee. A drop-leaf dining table, attached to the wall, seats six.
To starboard there are two swivel chairs and a folding table. There is a bar and entertainment section with TV, DVD, stereo, and more storage in drawers.
Forward is a V-berth with storage alongside and underneath. There is a connecting head and shower to port.
At the starboard aft end of the salon is a navigator's station with chart storage, ship's documents, and Battery Bank 2 below. Continuing further aft, the DC switching is to the left, engine room to the right.
The aft cabin has a huge double bed with a great deal of storage around and the AC system underneath. There is a large private head with sink and shower and much storage.
The warm solid teak interior is in perfect condition and the living space has to be seen - a real little ship. She is a big, strong blue water yacht and is ready to go.
