The Wellcraft 290 Coastal is a well-regarded outboard-powered fisherman with a cruising-style interior and and a large fishing cockpit. Built on a solid fiberglass deep-V hull, the midcabin interior of the 290 is arranged with a convertible dinette/V-berth forward, a compact galley and head, and a midcabin lounge that converts into a double berth. Note that the V-berth backrests swing up to form two pilot berths. On deck, the elevated bridge deck is fitted with a baitwell (with a Lucite window) and tackle storage as well as a doublewide helm seat and a companion seat to port. In the cockpit, a pair of insulated fish boxes are located just forward of the transom. Additional features includes new in 2014 cockpit bolsters, transom door, wide side decks, bow pulpit, and a large in-deck storage box. Twin 250hp outboards will cruise the 290 Coastal in the mid 20s and reach a top speed of 35+ knots. More than a few owners consider the 290 Coastal a lot of boat for the money. This boat comes with a dual axle roller trailer.
