Allow us to introduce "BOOTLEGGER" a 47-foot performance cruiser-racer sailboat, designed by William H. Tripp III
and built by Carroll Marine.
This racer/cruiser is known for it's 9' max draft and a wider beam at 13'6". Her spacious below deck interior is a surprise for a racing boat. The Tripp 47' has excellent light-air performance thanks to its generous sail configuration, and capabilities for both racing and comfortable blue water cruising. It offers versatile features, making it an easy choice for serious cruising, family use, club racing (PHRF rating of 3!) , or even liveaboard situations, with well-appointed accommodations and durable finishes like the newly installed below deck table that seats 6.
She has raced and performed well in multiple Chicago Mac races, Tripp Cups, Clipper cups, Queen's Cups as well as regular club racing. Has been in fresh water for past 12+ years. 3 owners known.
This boat can accommodate 7/8 comfortable, but can also be sailed singled-handed as evidenced by the photos. The sail inventory includes:

The keel was re-faired and re-bedded in 2021 with 4200 polysulfite.
