Island Sprit was built by her original owner for serious long range cruising in the coastal Waters of Alaska. She began her life as a 61 Tollycraft Raised Pilothouse. She then returned to the Tollycraft Facility in Washington where the boat was extended to 68 feet. A larger aft deck was created and a cockpit, swim platform, and additional fuel capacity were added at that time.
Island Spirit has two generators, an inverter, bow thruster. She cruises respectfully at 20 knots in an economical fashion. There is more storage space than is often found in much larger yachts. The galley pantry and buffet bar provide a great amount of galley and China storage for extended periods at sea. The salon also has an office area and bookcase to help keep in touch with the mainland.
There are nearly twenty storage locker compartments in the master stateroom alone. There is no need to pack lightly for extended trips aboard.
The current owner has dry docked this yacht at American Custom Yachts in Stuart, Florida each summer. In addition to a complete exterior paint job, American has recently replaced all exterior windows, and has completely upgraded the electrical wiring.
The current owners have enjoyed her very much but now have the desire to downsize.
Island Spirit is a must see for the most discriminating Raised Pilothouse buyer. She is a must see and should not be overlooked.
