JATOMA is a well maintained one-owner Tartan 4600. She has been in the care of Lyman-Morse Service (formally Wayfarer Marine) since new in 1993. Her owner has made continual improvements over the years. She has never been in hot climates, but rather sailed in New England and Canadian waters only during short cool summers. Some recent improvements include: New Mainsail (2026), New Garmin GPS Plotter (2026), New Stereo system (2026), New TracVision TV, New Ice Maker, New 8' North Atlantic soft-bottom inflatable (2026) and New jib halyard (2023). Significant mechanical work has also recently been done to the main engine as well. This Tartan 4600 conveys with lots of spares and extra gear. The cockpit companionway leads to the large aft cabin with centerline queen berth, Nav station, and settee with hanging lockers. The master cabin has its own head and shower (starboard of the berth.) The Nav station is well equipped with electronics and chart table with lots of additional storage. A door to port of the berth leads to the galley/passageway to the main salon.
Spacious and safely positioned in the passageway for offshore cooking, the Galley is amidship and fully equipped with stove, oven, refrigeration, freezer, microwave, trash compactor and stainless sinks with both filtered and instant-hot water spigots. Lots of cabinet space/cupboards for galley-ware and counterspace for preparing and serving meals to either main salon or cockpit tables.
The main salon has settees that can be used for additional berths (filler platform/cushions). A large drop leaf dining table is on centerline and accommodates settee/dining seating for both stbd and port sides of the salon. A wet bar/ice maker, flatscreen TV and new stereo system make the main salon perfect for entertaining.
The large private guest cabin with double berth is forward of the salon and includes a separate head/shower, hanging lockers and more storage. Both heads have Corian vanity tops. Opening overhead hatches, opening port lights in the cabin sides and 12v comfort fans keep the interior well lit with natural light and fresh air. Courtesy lights and others can be found throughout the interior.
