She has been thoughtfully updated throughout the years and recently finished a refit before embarking on a year-long cruising sabbatical with her current owners. Their trip took them from Maine, down through the Bahamas and back up the East Coast to New England with offshore passages on both north and southbound legs. ALHTEA is well equipped for cruising and liveaboard life. Her electrical system was revamped in 2022 and is completely self-sufficient at anchor in the tropics with her generous solar array and lithium battery bank. She features a new watermaker, electronics and updated plumbing configuration as well as new sails, running rigging and redundant self-steering systems. An interior refit in 2021 features fresh paint, new headliner and fresh Sunbrella coverings on all interior cushions. Exterior refit features fresh Kiwi Grip non skid, stainless steel handrails, new dorade boxes and rebed deck hardware. ALTHEA is looking for her next steward to once again take her south.
