"Carpe Diem" is by far the finest example of the SeaRay 400 Sundancer on the market today.

The Sea Ray 400 Sundancer is an express cruiser that is sporty, fast, and has all the comforts of home.  As a sport yacht, the 400 actually measures in at over 44 feet and is well equipped to handle two couples or a family for week-long cruises, and is a classic Sundancer design.

What you will like the most is her draft is just 40 inches.  Thanks to the V-drive transmissions which mean you can sneak this big boat into places where others wouldn’t dare to go.

The SeaRay 400 Sundancer represents one of the most versatile layouts of any production model in this size range.  The expansive interior volume features two staterooms on opposite ends of the boat, allowing for maximum privacy for both owners and guests.  There is plenty of sleeping space on board, with a mid-cabin under the helm, a sofa in the salon which converts into a double berth, and of course a private owner’s stateroom located forward.

The cockpit helm is equipped with the customary “top of the line” marine electronics positioned ergonomically for the discerning Captain with visibility from the helm being excellent both forward and aft.  The forward leaning fiberglass arch and clean style lines running from the bow to the trailing end of the swim deck provides the classic and timeless appearance that SeaRays are known for.

Forward access to the bow is provided via wide port and starboard walk ways with good hand holds all the way forward.  Deck hardware is substantial both in quality and quantity being strategically located for ease of securing the vessel in docking and anchoring.  The diamond cut pattern deck non-skid is throughout and offers sure footing and ease of maintenance.  The electric assist hatch makes it easy to get to the engine and check the fluid levels.

The cockpit area offers a double-wide bench seat next to the adjustable bucket type helm seat “captain’s chair.”  The burl wood dash is arranged in three tiers, with instruments close at hand.  The wet bar with sink and icemaker is port side for handy refills and reduces traffic down below.  The spacious U-shaped lounge that can seat up to nine quests is aft to starboard and can quickly convert into a sun pad, and there is a removable table for dining.

The transom door is positioned on the port side for access to the fiberglass swim platform with an integrated pull out and down swim boarding ladder and hot and cold transom shower.  This arrangement makes for a one straight line from swim platform to the companionway door, and that makes it easy when you’re bringing a week’s worth of groceries aboard.  Several cockpit storage lockers, convenient catch bins, and drink holders are located throughout.

This original owner regrettably has to pass this gem onto another loving owner.  Initial delivery (warranty start date) was on 17 April 1998 and she has less than 1300 hours on the hobbs.
