A very nice example of the very versatile Sea Ray Amberjack 290. Successfully balancing the fisherman's needs with the family's comforts, this is a very clean 2003 Sea Ray 290AJ.
With a large open cockpit, loads of rod storage and a transom door, she makes a comfortable fishing platform.
The aft transom wall features a convenient storage bin with concealed water and power hook-ups plus a removable bench seat which provides extra cockpit space Taken together, this allows for clear access to the engine compartment when the gas-assisted hatch is lifted.
The helm is well laid out with good access to all controls and a full suite of electronics, including GPS-plotter, fishfinder, radar and VHF. Additionally, the boat is equipped with trim tabs and an electric windlass to handle anchor duties.
Below is a comfortable cabin suited for overnights to the canyon for extended island trips with the family. There are bunks for 5/6 with a forward vee, convertible dinette and an aft berth midship.
The fully equipped galley features a fiberglass countertop, dual-voltage refrigerator, microwave and sink with hot and cold water.
The forward V-berth sleeps two adults and has a privacy curtain. There is plenty of storage in shelves and beneath the V-berth. There is also a fully enclosed head with vacu-flush toilet, hand-held shower, sink and mirror.
