Ample Cockpit Space: This model features a spacious cockpit that is perfect for entertaining guests. With comfortable seating and a wet bar, it provides an excellent area for socializing during outings.
Versatile Cabin Layout: The interior of the Sundancer offers a well-thought-out layout with a cozy v-berth, full galley, and a bathroom with a shower. This makes it suitable for weekend getaways or longer trips.
Quality Craftsmanship: Sea Ray is known for its attention to detail and quality materials. The 2005 model is no exception, featuring durable upholstery, solid wood cabinetry, and high-quality fixtures throughout.
Performance: Equipped with a powerful engine (often a 5.0L MerCruiser), the 260 Sundancer delivers a smooth ride and respectable speed, making it suitable for both cruising and watersports.
Trailerability: With an overall length of approximately 26 feet, this boat is trailerable, allowing for easy transportation to different waterways.
Cons
Limited Storage: While the cockpit and cabin are comfortable, some owners find that the storage space can be limited for longer trips, especially when carrying gear for water activities.
Fuel Efficiency: The performance engine does provide power, but it can be less fuel-efficient compared to smaller or less powerful boats. Owners may experience higher fuel costs during extended use.
Age Considerations: As a 2005 model, prospective buyers should assess the condition of the boat carefully. Older vessels may require more maintenance or updates to ensure optimal performance.
Draft Depth: The boat's draft of about 3 feet means it is less suitable for shallow waters, which might limit access to certain areas or cost extra in terms of marina fees in certain locations.
Cost of Upkeep: As with any boat, maintenance and upkeep costs can add up, especially with a vessel that includes numerous features and amenities. It's essential to factor this into the total cost of ownership.
