The Sabre 38 is a diesel auxiliary masthead sloop designed by the Sabre Design Group and built in fiberglass by Sabre Yachts between 1981 and 1987. 100 yachts were built.
The Sabre 38 is a moderate weight sailboat which performs well under sail. She is very stable / stiff and has an excellent righting moment, all qualities that one desires in an able coastal cruiser. The reliable Westerbeke diesel with a 45 gal fuel tank, and 100 gallons of water gives this boat an excellent range for that dream summer cruise.
