Although the fabrication of the hull of this ketch was completed in 1978, the boat was not launched until 2007. The details of her life and journey to her current location in Green Cove Springs, FL, are well documented.
She is a pilothouse ketch constructed of 5mm thick steel and welded to SABS specifications.
She has a forward cabin V-berth with a head, a midships galley and salon, a pilothouse with an operating interior helm, and an aft cabin and head.
When not under sail, she is powered by a Perkins model 4.236 80 HP diesel engine that pushes a Borg-Warner 71CR transmission turning a three blade bronze prop.
Electric power is provided by two 12V batteries powered by the engine alternator and freshened by a dedicated 24V solar panel. Additional electric is provided by two 250w solar panels feeding two Vetus 170 AH batteries via a MPPT 100-20 charge controller. There is also a Victron Multiplus Compact 2000 Inverter.
Navigational electronics include Raymarine plotter and AIS, Garmin GPS/depth sounder, Furuno GP39 Navigator, an iCom M324 VHF radio, and iCom M73 handheld VHF, and a Ritchie compass.
Up on deck the boat carries a 50ft aluminum deck-stepped mast with a steel compression pole to the keel. The mizzen mast is 33 ft and it is also aluminum and deck-stepped.
The sail inventory includes a mainsail, a Genoa (size unknown), a staysail, and a mizzen sail. All sails are serviceable and in fair condition.
The boat has a new Lofrans Tigres 12V windlass and the ground tackle includes a 60# CQR with 130' 3/8' chain and 160' of 3/4" nylon rode. There is also a 77# Delta anchor, a 66# Danforth anchor, and a 45# Delta anchor.
This 46' ketch is fit and finished for functionality. She is a proven blue water sailer with lots of nautical miles under her keel. She is ready to take you on your next great adventure.
The boat history and documentation is available for review while under contract.
