Don't miss this chance to own a rare and coveted Gilbert 30+. Created by renowned Canadian yacht designer Neil Gilbert, it was voted the Best New Production Boat and runner up for Import Boat of the Year at the 1988 Sailing World magazine awards.
Quinkin has been sailed by the current owner since 1999 in Lake Ontario, Georgian Bay and is now berthed at the Ben Eoin Yacht Club in the Bras d'Or in Cape Breton where it is actively cruised.
The boat is very roomy for its 30' 10" LOA. The mast is placed well forward with a high aspect fully battened main and a self-tacking jib. A radial head drifter is also included. The sails have been regularly repaired or replaced as required.
With all lines led to the cockpit and the self-tacking jib, the boat is easily sailed with little or no effort from the crew. She points well and is fast for a cruiser.
The interior provides a spacious main salon, a Vee berth, an aft cabin sleeping two and a galley and head. The engine is a 18hp Volvo 2002 diesel.
