The Provincial 42 Fishing Boat has an LOA of 42 feet with a 13-foot 6-inch beam and a deep draft. Provincial Boat and Marine Ltd. is Eastern Canada's oldest manufacturer of fiberglass fishing - pleasure boats. These boats work in the toughest conditions in the world, and are designed with strength and endurance in mind while paying strict attention to the safety of the crews that will be manning them. Provincial boats combine proven seaworthiness with offshore comfort and reliability.
This particular boat was built and rigged for tuna fishing and has been repowered (2019) with a John Deere 6135 (575 HP) diesel engine (ONLY 600 hours!) that is paired with a (2019) Twin Disc 5082SC transmission with a 2:1 gear ratio and 2 1/4" shaft. The propeller is a 4-blade 32"x30".
The generator is a Northern Lights 8 KW.
She us set up for comfort offshore with her cabin featuring three (3) berths and a bathroom. There is a large onboard freezer as well.
Her extensive list of electronics includes the following: (2) Furuno 36 mile radars ; Garmin 3010 Plotter ; Furuno 292 sounder ; (2) ICOM VHFs ; Simrad AP-44 auto pilot (2020) ; Garmin 4230-X GPS ; Compass ; and TV. She is fitted with 30 AMP shore power.
Salt and fresh water washdowns. Outriggers, rocket launchers and rod holders throughout the vessel make her a pleasure to fish along with her aft second helm station.
