She is Great Loop capable. The radar arch can be un-pinned and she can go under the last bridge in Chicago. She was built like this for that reason.
The 1986 Present 42 Sundeck is a Great Example of a well-engineered and thoughtfully constructed yacht. Her sundeck design allows for maximum space on deck and down below,
While her semi-displacement trawler hull form makes for an efficient and economical boat to run, she is powered by a pair of 225 hp Turbo Volvo TAMD 60 B diesels which will provide 7.5 Knots cruise speed burning only 3.5 GPH, and up to 12 Knots if you need get out of the weather.
She is equipped with an 8 KW Westerbeke diesel generator, but the current owner carried two Honda 2200 quiet gens and powered boat with one, (3 gallons per day).
The interior layout has a large salon with galley and dinette down; forward stateroom with upper and lower berth and a private head; aft stateroom with centerline island queen berth and private head.
This vessel has been Cruising the East Coast and the Bahamas for the last 6 years with her Very knowledgeable owner. She is ready to head out again with her new owners,
She will require some TLC, and could use paint, but is capable to go and you can do the TLC in a quiet anchorage in Bahamas.
She currently has 2 large D 12V batteries, one battery probably needs replacing.
