Seller's Comments:
From the Owners:
Deborah:
"This boat has truly been our second home. One of the things I'll miss most is the primary stateroom. The walk-around queen berth is incredibly comfortable, and the windows surrounding it make every morning feel special-whether we're tied up at the dock or anchored in a quiet cove.
We've spent everything from long weekends to entire weeks aboard, and it always felt more like a vacation home on the water than a boat-except the scenery was constantly changing. The bright salon, well-equipped galley, onboard Wi-Fi, heat, and air conditioning made it easy to live and even work remotely from the boat while enjoying Maine's beautiful cruising season.
Having two comfortable staterooms, each with its own private head, made traveling with another couple easy, and I've always felt incredibly safe aboard. Pacific Seacraft built these boats to last, and the high bulwarks and secure rails gave me confidence whether we were underway or simply moving around on deck.
Looking back, it's the memories we'll miss most-the quiet mornings, the changing views, and the time spent together on the water. We feel incredibly fortunate to have called this boat ours, and we're excited for her next owners to begin making memories of their own."
Stephen:
"Having worked in the marine industry for many years, I've come to appreciate thoughtful engineering and quality construction, and that's exactly what drew me to the Pacific Seacraft 38T. The build quality is exceptional, and the systems are laid out with maintenance in mind. Multiple access points and a well-designed engine room make routine service straightforward, while the fore and aft engine room hatches make quick inspections underway a breeze.
My favorite place to run the boat is from the flybridge, where the visibility is outstanding and the Bimini with Eisenglass provides excellent protection from the elements. When the weather turns, the lower helm is equally enjoyable, with dual chartplotters for excellent situational awareness and diesel heat that keeps the cabin warm and comfortable.
One of my favorite design features is the starboard helm door. Combined with the adjacent companionway, it makes single-handed docking remarkably easy. Every aspect of this boat reflects practical, well-executed design, and it's been a pleasure to own, operate, and maintain."
Vessel Walkthrough:
"ZUZU" was built by Pacific Seacraft in California, designed by Bruce King (Designer of the Hinckley Picnic boats), is a sturdy, nimble, timeless cruising boat perfect for couples or a family wishing to explore.
Stepping aboard from either dinghy, floating or fixed docks is a cinch via the swim platform or amidships gunwall gates. High polished stainless rails.
The "Trunk Cabin" design is popular for several reasons. First is the ease of moving around the decks. Line handlers can safely walk around the entire boat without fear of missing a hand hold. This layout allows for a generous and private aft cabin not available in sedan designers. Thirdly this design allows a secure location for the tender as well as a graduated step platform to the flybridge.
The main cabin features the lower helm forward to starboard, with convenient side deck door. Great for short handed boating allowing the skipper to handle lines. This lower helm has great visibility allowing a safe lookout even while up on plane.
Forward to port is a large L-shaped dinette with teak table with fold down leaves, fids and concealed storage below. A matching settee is to starboard. All interior cushions have been upgraded. Main cabin are ultra leather, forward is sunbrella and aft had custom mattress. Aft in the main cabin is the well appointed galley with recent replaced ice maker, and fridge. We also replaced her Espar diesel heater, which allows comfortable liveaboard temperature in winter. Also upgraded the sound system to a Fusion bluetooth stereo with new speakers in the aft cabin, main salon and flybridge, all controlled by the Garmin GPS systems or their Bluetooth app. Great sound!
Going aft and down 4 steps is the aft or owners cabin. Island berth is positioned athwartships. More beautiful teak cabinetry and teak and holly soles. Generous hanging locker, shelves and plenty of drawers. Private head with Vacuflush marine toilet and stall shower and shower caddy with soap, shampoo and conditioner!. Also added custom glass mirrors to the aft and forward head doors!
The bow cabin features a large V-berth, beautiful teak hull slat, large double hanging locker and additional storage under the bunks. The forward head consists of another Vacuflush toilet and pull out shower.
