Pacific Sea Craft 37's do not need any introduction in the world of offshore sailing.
Designed by William "Bill" Crealock, they have circled the globe and make an excellent choice for a proper ocean boat. The PSC 37 has a well designed hull with a lower drag coefficient, long fin keel. They will point higher than most traditional style cruising boats resulting better miles sailed per day going to weather. The rudder is protected by the molded integrated skeg. People that have sailed PSC 37's are always complimentary of the performance, comfort and safety. The PSC is a perfect choice for a couple, with a separate bunk for one child or a Single-hander. She is easily sailed by one or two people.
Included in this listing is a youtube video filmed at the Pt Townsend Wooden Boat Show interviewing Bill Crealock where he talks about how the design came about and the concept of the boat. Its worth watching.
Shamrock has had only three owners. The current owners have owned the yacht for 25 years and have been fastidious in their maintenance and updates. They are selling due to lifestyle change.
Pacific Sea Craft is a legacy boat builder with roots starting in the 1960's with the two partners building boats such as Columbia, Ericson, Olson and a host of other brands, both production and custom boats. They were the first builders of the Nordhavn line of luxury trawlers built in the US. Pacific Sea Craft is still in business under different ownership.
Shamrock has been continually maintained and thoughtfully upgraded, without
unnecessary gear or modifications, so that she is well equipped for safe and comfortable
Northwest Cruising or Ocean Sailing. Overall, she's pretty much "modernized
stock". She's kinda like finding a 1985 Chevy Impala with 60,000 miles on it, still running just fine.
If you have long distance cruising plans or looking for a boat for the NW, BC or Mexico, Shamrock is worthy of a personal showing.
