This beautifully refit 42 Ocean was done at the renowned American Custom Yachts (ACY) yard in 2000 Virtually everything was refit and made to perform better, ride better and look like new!
A sample list of work done:
· Running gear
· Engine room all engine parts powder coated all fasteners were replaced with Stainless Steel (over $15,000 spent just for fasteners)
· Fully lined w/Sound Down lead foam
· Full exterior paint
· New headliner
· New teak/holly floor
· Full interior paint
· Sub zero Refrigerator
· Underwater exhaust
· Upgraded larger water intakes for main engines,
· ACY scoop grates for the water intakes,
· Lots of features that ACY uses on its custom built boats
· NEW larger Generator from 8kw to 10.5kw with Sound shield, muffled Sound Down water drop muffler makes it very quiet and the exhaust cooling water discharges underwater
· Everything possible to make the boat quiet under anchor and under way
· 2 x 16.5btu AC in the salon (one NEWLY added) and 1 x 12btu in the staterooms AC cooling water also discharges underwater
· Over $400,000 invested!
Believe it or not, this beauty of a boat was recently refit again (January 2007) with a short list of items:
· Removed the tuna tower and the fiberglass arch
· Installed a Bosch American Towers NEW half tower w/LED running lights
· New bow rail was fabricated and installed.
· All New electronics were updated as well
· New 6 person Solas raft was installed.
· New Exterior paint from rub rail up
· All New exterior lights (3 way LED's - white, red or blue)
· New Underwater lights installed
· New Hurley Davit installed on the dive platform
· A 32" HD TV in salon w/blue ray DVD,
· Full surround sound w/subwoofer
· A 13" flat screen in master stateroom,
· New exterior speakers (on separate volume switches).
· Fully automatic anchor windlass which operates from fly bridge
· EASY MAINTENANCE- There is no exterior teak on the boat
