NO professional survey - personal inspection only - being sold AS IS Where is - Water trial OK, boat is on the hard and water trial at buyer's expense. Buyer will pay for the splash and haul out and re-block - total would be $750 or if the buyer just wants splash and take the boat - cost is approximately $250.for splash only. According the seller, everything works as intended. The seller has owned the boat since 2015 and has completed many nice upgrades, the boat is very appealing inside and is very comfortable for living on, if that is your fancy! The owner takes the boat to the Bahamas every year for several months at a time, however recent health concerns has made the owner a permanent landlubber. The boat was put in dry dock in September 2023. The engine compartment is easily accessible from floorboards in galley area. The boat would benefit from painting for aesthetic purposes but is not necessary! The fuel gauge does not work, so the seller measures the fuel with a stick. The boat currently needs bottom paint and zincs. The headroom is about 7 ft, fuel tanks are probably original and are made of cast iron. The isinglass is stowed away, some pieces are newer and some needs replacing.

Pros

Robust Construction: Known for quality craftsmanship and durability, the Ocean Yachts brand has a reputation for building solid boats that can withstand the elements.

Spacious Interior: The 40+2 offers a roomy interior with ample living space, making it ideal for extended cruising or liveaboard lifestyles.

Flying Bridge: The elevated flying bridge provides excellent visibility while maneuvering, enhancing the overall boating experience, especially while docking or navigating.

Fuel Efficiency: Being a trawler, it tends to be more fuel-efficient than sportier vessels, allowing for longer journeys without frequent refueling.

Versatile Layout: The interior design often features multiple sleeping quarters and a cozy salon, making it practical for family outings or entertaining guests.

Great for Cruising: With its stable hull and ability to handle rough seas, the 40+2 is well-suited for coastal cruising and exploring.

Cons

Older Model: As a vessel from 1979, potential buyers need to consider the state of the systems and whether upgrades or repairs may be needed.

Speed Limitations: While efficient, trawlers are generally slower than other boat types. If speed is a priority, this may not be the best option.

Maintenance: Older boats may require more upkeep and regular maintenance to keep everything in good working condition, which can be time-consuming.

Limited Storage: While spacious, the layout might not have as much storage as newer designs that take advantage of modern materials and layouts.
