The "CATNAP-PURR" is an O'DAY 39 as designed by the renowned Philippe Briand of the JEANNEAU models fame. As an Americanized adaptation of the very successful SUN FIZZ 40, the O'DAY 39 introduced US Owners to the benefits of a US-built, well-designed sailing yacht that offered an outstanding (3) stateroom interior layout, great performance and a generous and well-thought out deck layout & cockpit configuration as well. A "25th Anniversay Edition" O'DAY model, she is the 102nd example "39" as built at the O'DAY manufacturing facilty in Fall River, MA, from 1982 through 1985 being produced in 1984 and delivered as a 1985 model.
The "CATNAP-PURR" has been well-maintained over the years and, typical of yachts of her appeal, there have only been only (3) Owners since "day one"! On this Owner's watch, she's been nicely equipped & upgraded with (3) new batteries ('13), RAYMARINE electronics ('13-'14) to include a T7 autopilot and a speed / log / depth & wind system to complement her FURUNO 1650 radar & GPS system (2012). a SUNBRELLA Dark Blue dodger & Bimini (with connector, '13-'14), a LEWMAR electric / manual windlass with a remote control unit,12VDC refrigeration, a newer HARKEN roller-furling unit & a custom HARKEN traveler system and the Listing will reveal even more, of course!
The "CATNAP-PURR" is being offered for brokerage sale as the Owner wants to accommodate travel plans envisioned for next Season. She has been hauled & winterized and her Winter Storage has been paid. She is easily accessible for a detailed inspection. Nicely-presented by a knowledgeable Owner, and certainly compared to most offerings of this vintage, she does show well and offers a great value in her range. Appointments for a viewing are to be encouraged.

Cons

Maintenance Needs: Given its age, owners might encounter typical wear and tear issues, including the need for regular maintenance on rigging, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Weight and Draft: The moderate displacement and draft can limit performance in light winds and restrict access to very shallow cruising grounds.
