A recent Aaron Bandstra survey gives Tumbleweed a clean bill of health and appraised value of $975,000.
Tumbleweed is well appointed and exceptionally well equipped for extended cruising. Her salon is expansive and surprisingly spacious. It features two full recliners as well as an L dinette large enough to comfortably sit 6 for both dinner or casual entertaining. The galley rivals those found on many 65'+ boats with large counter surfaces, lots of storage and dual sinks.
Tumbleweed is built with the most popular guest stateroom layout. This flexible room has two single beds that can slide together to make a queen, plus there is a fold down bunk--so sleeping for three. Or, tip the outside bunk up to reveal an innovative home office desk space. The master stateroom has a surprising amount of storage and features a low, island queen bed, that is easy to get around and make. This boat's two-head, two-shower design means owners and guests have plenty of privacy even on longer voyages.
Upstairs is a great pilothouse with excellent visibility. Two helms seats and a large L bench seat with a table means that owners and crew can comfortably cruise together. Pull out the settee to make another double-sized bunk in what is now a third away space, separate from the salon. Tumbleweed is built with a spacious flybridge and hardtop.
The single 355hp Cummins will provide comfortable cruise speeds of 7-10 knots. The stable semi-displacement hull is proven on long voyages on both US coasts and SE Asia. In addition to this, Tumbleweed is equipped with Wesmar RS250 active fin stabilizers.
Owners have had the boat fully serviced and readied for a trip to Alaska, but plans have changed. Services included oil, impeller, belts & fuel line renewal. The sanitation hoses have also been replaced.
