The Story of Steadfast:
My wife, Gwen, and I purchased Steadfast, our 2009 Nordic Tug 37, in early 2023, with plans to expand our cruising on the Chesapeake Bay and perhaps venture beyond the Bay someday.
We both fell in love with the Nordic Tug-and with the joys of extended cruising. Steadfast, and our time aboard her, have exceeded our expectations in every way.
In addition to our Chesapeake cruises, we've spent approximately 100 continuous days aboard each of the last three winters, making the journey from Virginia to Key West and back. We loved every minute-and every mile-of those adventures.
Along the way, we've had family join us and found her accommodations wonderfully comfortable. We've cooked great meals in her well-equipped galley and on the grill, enjoyed wonderful restaurants and interesting towns and cities along the way, and spent countless hours simply enjoying Mother Nature. Those are the experiences that have made Steadfast so special to us.
During our time together, we've made significant upgrades and improvements, including electronics, upholstery, rugs, a new salon table, smart plugs, an ice machine (because it's always good to have an endless supply of ice on board!), filtered water, and new mattresses for a great night's sleep. We've also been meticulous about her detailing and maintenance.
At this point, we feel we've made her perfect for us.
But we're now feeling the calling to a boat suited to our next chapter of blue-water cruising and even more extended travel. So, with some real bittersweet feelings, we've made the decision to sell our beloved Steadfast and begin the search for our "next Steadfast."
We're excited for her new caretakers to discover what we have-and to enjoy her as much as we have.
She's been a wonderful boat, and an even better home for some unforgettable adventures.
Manufacturer's Statement:
STEADFAST, the 2009 Nordic Tug 37 has all of the qualities upon which we built our reputation: rugged craftsmanship, a quiet ride, reliable and fuel-efficient performance, with exceptional resale value. Powered by a fuel-efficient 380 hp Cummins electronic diesel, she can reach speeds in the upper teens and wont give up performance for fuel economy. Like all Nordic Tugs, she features a semi-displacement hull with a full keel, hard chine, and fine entry bow a combination that provides a quiet and stable ride. She boasts the famous Nordic Tug pilothouse with convenient 360 degree views and direct access to the deck from both sides. The beautiful salon is both practical and comfortable.
