The hull is hand-laid FRP with foam cored stringers and frames. A steel girder structure visible beneath the cabin sole takes all keel and rig loads. The deck is FRP with a foam core and teak plank overlay. Planks are epoxied to the underlying fiberglass, minimizing screws. The teak decks and planking on the deckhouse were reportedly replaced in 1999, bungs replaced and caulking was redone in 4/2014.
Hull is finished in Flag Blue Awlgrip (done in 2000) with gold trim.
33# stainless-steel CQR type anchor on the bow roller. The rode is 300' of galvanized chain. A Lofran's electric windlass (NEW in 1999) with foot operated up and down switches is offset to starboard of the chain locker hatch, which is flush with the deck and locks down with a winch handle. A raw water wash down pump has a hose connection on the foredeck and is concealed beneath a cover plate.
