The Nauticat 44 Firefly is an ideal design for exploring the inside waters of the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Inside and outside steering stations allow comfort and safety whether underway or at anchor. Considered a motor sailor, the powerful and easily managed ketch rig adds stability at sea while the economical 125HP Ford Lehman diesel (1600hrs) will get you there when the wind doesn't blow. The Nauticat 44 is a proven performer that continues to have a strong appeal amongst NW cruisers.

In the bow is a chain locker. Next aft is the forward stateroom. There is a large V berth double with storage below. Outboard, above the bunks port and starboard is a shelf. Aft of the berth to starboard is a hanging locker. Next aft to port is a large U shaped galley with numerous lockers, drawers and countertop working space. Across to starboard is an enclosed head with WC, vanity and shower. Next aft is the main salon. To port is a large U shape settee with dining table. Across to starboard is a straight settee. Outboard above and behind both settees alcove and locker storage. Next aft up two steps is the pilothouse. To port along the port side and aft end is a large shaped settee with a table. Across to starboard at the forward end of the pilothouse is the inside steer station, with the wheel, engine controls, and instrumentation. There is excellent 360 degree visibility through the pilothouse ports. Next aft down three steps is the aft cabin. There is a centerline queen size berth with the headboard against the transom. Both port and starboard of the berth are numerous lockers and hanging lockers. In the forward port corner is the aft head. The boat sleeps up to 8. The interior is beautifully crafted to the highest standards in teak.
