Comments, Specifications, Features, and Refit History
The Marquis 55 LS is a 2007 flybridge motor yacht that pairs Italian design with American build quality. Nuvolari-Lenard drew the lines in Venice; Marquis (Carver) built the boat in Pulaski, Wisconsin. The result is a 57'4" LOA, 16' beam cruiser with a modified-V hull, three-stateroom layout, full-beam master, and a large enclosed flybridge. This hull is fitted with the 715 hp D12s, which published specs list at about 19 knots cruise and 26 knots top. It is a coastal and weekend-to-week-long cruising yacht more than a long-range passagemaker: generous living spaces, a proper galley, dual helms, bow and stern thrusters, and a hydraulic swim platform.
This particular 55 LS, Sunline, has been maintained and refit with no expense spared. It sleeps six guests in three staterooms plus one in a dedicated crew cabin. The enclosed, climate-controlled flybridge gives a 360° view and is reached by interior steps or a cockpit staircase. The bridge has a full wet bar, electric grill, icemaker, and refrigerator; aft dining with ample seating; and a forward upper helm with a retractable instrument panel and a full electronics package. The flybridge is fully enclosed with Eisenglass and has both air conditioning and heat.
On the main deck is a living-room salon, an elevated galley with new appliances, and a lower helm. The interior refit includes new hardwood floors, granite counters, window treatments, and vinyl walls and ceilings with wood trim. The full-beam master has an ensuite. Forward of the master is a guest cabin with bunks and a Pullman. Farther forward are the shared head and VIP stateroom; both heads have enclosed showers.
Newer bow and stern thrusters and a complete engine and generator overhaul leave the boat presented as turn-key.
