This double cabin has been used strictly as a live a board for the last 9 years and as a result it will need quite a bit of mechanical work to bring it back to "cruising" status. The engine was used only a few times, strictly to haul the boat when Hurricanes approached. The interior shows quite well and has had many upgrades that include a new s/s refrigerator, reconditioned heads, cold a/c, newer curtains, drapes, bedspreads, decorator pillows etc makes for a very comfortable live a-board interior. The hull is sound with no blisters. Bottom needs to be painted. All new nylon lines and oversized fenders this year. The exterior is in near average condition with the typical Marine Trader soft spots around windows and on upper deck. Mechanically, the engine runs but has one noisy piston. We know one of the tanks was leaking and taken out of commission this year. The other tank is dirty and probably not far behind. A new 40-gallon tank was recently installed to provide a clean fuel supply when the boat needs to be moved, this gives the boat a 60-plus mile range. The generator has not been used in years, as the boat was dockside the entire time. It would need to be replaced if you are planning any long range cruising. All electronics are very old, and will probably need to be replaced depending on type of usage. In a nutshell you have a project boat that in its present condition could be used as a very comfortable live-a -board vessel without spending any additional money on it! However, if you wanted to restore it to "cruising" condition with everything running and modern electronics etc. you are looking at spending an additional $5,000 to ???????, depending on your preferences. Obviously these are off the top of my head estimates and only you and your mechanic could accurately measure the dollar amount that would be necessary to put the boat into the condition you would like. Seriously for sale, AS IS for $27,900. This double cabin sleeps 6 in two staterooms and the convertible dinette. The spacious salon includes a lower station with the galley up.
