Good condition cruising/liveaboard with 2 cabins, a decent size salon and galley on one level, lower station, covered cockpit and huge bridgedeck.

People buy boats like the Marine Trader 36 Europa Sedan because they like the practicality of a sedan style boat for ease of boarding and getting around swhile underway or docking.  Built in Taiwan, the 36 Europa is a straightforward sedan cruiser with a classic trawler profile and good accommodations for 4-6. The layout includes 2 staterooms with the owner's cabin to port rather than forward. There is a 1/4 tub/shower combination in the head. The guest cabin is forward and features V-berth with good storage.  Additionally the table in the salon can be removed and there are 2 wooden inserts to turn the L-Lounge there into a large sleeping area for 2. A sliding pocket door at the lower helm provides quick access to her wide side decks, Note that the traditional bridge overhangs and provides some overhead shelter from the rain  to the side decks and cockpit. With the extended aft bridgedeck, there is plenty of room for the 10'5" tender stored there. There is an davit on the aft bridge for raising/lowering the tender.

The boat is in good condition for her age and should give her new owners many hours/years of cruising and enjoyment aboard.

Spacious Layout: With ample living space, the interior design typically includes a comfortable salon, galley, and separate stateroom, making it suitable for extended cruising or liveaboard lifestyles.

Fuel Efficiency: Powered by a reliable diesel engine, this vessel offers good fuel efficiency, especially at cruising speeds, making it an economical choice for long-distance travel.

Solid Construction: Known for their durability, the Marine Trader’s fiberglass hull construction offers longevity and low maintenance requirements compared to traditional wood boats.

Versatile Cockpit: The spacious cockpit and flybridge allow for outdoor entertaining and fishing, offering versatility in how you enjoy your time on the water.

Storage Options: Generous storage compartments make it easy to stow away gear, ensuring the living space remains uncluttered for comfortable living.

Cons

Older Electronics: Being a 1979 model, the vessel may feature outdated electronics and navigation equipment, which could require modernization for optimal performance.

Weight and Speed: The robust build often leads to a heavier boat, which may result in slower speeds compared to modern lightweight alternatives, potentially limiting its performance in rough conditions.

Maintenance Needs: While the hull is durable, older boats often require more maintenance and updates, especially regarding systems like plumbing, electrical, and engine components, which may need replacement or repair.

Engine Access: Depending on the model, access to the engine for maintenance can be somewhat limited, which might complicate repairs or routine checks.

Tendency to Roll: The full keel design may cause the boat to have a tendency to roll in rough seas, requiring experienced handling during inclement weather.

Resale Value: While classic designs have their appeal, the resale value may be less predictable due to the age of the vessel, with some potential buyers preferring newer models.
