The Mainship Pilot 34 has the seakeeping abilities of the lobster boats it has descended from. It has a steep plumb bow and a gentle rise of the sheer; both of these qualities give the Pilot 34 the ability to cut through head seas, while the rounded forward hull sections provide a soft entry. Flatter sections aft increase lift for speed and economy.
In the cockpit, the Pilot 34 has a double-wide helm and companion seats flanking the large hydraulically assisted engine access hatch. The side lounges can double as berths with removable backrests. A tilt-up console means easy access to electronics and wiring, and there is a built-in insulated cooler box as well as a standard transom door.
Below, the cabin has a large head complete with Corian covered vanity, lots of storage, a shower, and even a Jabsco Electric head. The cherry-trimmed galley offers plenty of storage, ample Corian counter space, a microwave, a dual cooktop, and a refrigerator and freezer. The large dinette easily converts to a double berth and includes plenty of storage. Forward in the stateroom, hanging lockers and drawers will swallow gear for the weekend or a month. Extra-long innerspring berths guarantee a great night's sleep.
Blue Run: An Exceptionally Maintained Mainship 34 Sedan
This meticulously cared-for Mainship 34 Pilot Sedan reflects the passion and expertise of her current owner, a skilled woodworker and experienced cruiser. Purchased in 2015 with only 250 hours on her twin 240 hp Yanmar engines, Blue Run has been meticulously maintained by a dedicated Yanmar mechanic. Service records are available for inspection during viewings in Punta Gorda.
While some minor damage occurred to the rub rail and hull on the starboard side following Hurricane Milton in September 2024, it has been professionally repaired by a local fiberglass contractor, leaving Blue Run in excellent condition.
This boat has enjoyed a wonderful history. Originally purchased in South Carolina, her current owner, a seasoned cruiser, expertly navigated Blue Run to Punta Gorda. Since then, she has cruised extensively along the Florida coasts and the Keys, creating countless memories.
As the broker who originally sold Blue Run to her current and only the second owner, I can attest to her exceptional care and quality. I am also a Mainship Pilot 34 owner, providing me with firsthand knowledge of these fine vessels.
There is a Highfield 2016 9'6" CL 290 Inflatable dinghy with a Tohatsu 8 hp outboard available but it is not included in the sale.
