The Mainship 34 Pilot is a well proportioned Down-East style cruising yacht. GOLDEN BEAR is the preferred sedan version which features an extended hardtop offering owners the added warmth and quiet ride of a semi-enclosed pilothouse.
This is a very fuel efficient single engine diesel cruiser. Her SidePower bow thruster makes docking and tight quarters maneuvering easy. The Mainship 34 Pilot rides on a semi-displacement hull with moderate beam and a long, prop-protecting keel. The single 350hp Yanmar diesel will efficiently cruise the 34 Pilot at 14 knots and she will reach a top speed of 17 knots.
Well appointed accommodations consist of a roomy main salon with a nice galley and a comfortable convertible dinette, an enclosed head with shower, and a private stateroom forward with a large v-berth and ample storage.
In the cockpit, facing bench seats on either side behind the helm and companion seats can double as extra berths. A centerline hatch in the cockpit provides excellent access to the engine room.
Additional features include a bow thruster, transom door and wide side decks. The 34 rides on a semi-displacement hull with moderate beam and a long, prop-protecting keel.

The Mainship Pilot 34 has a steep plumb bow and a gentle rise of the sheer - both of these qualities give the Pilot 34 the ability to cut through head seas, while the rounded forward hull sections provide a soft entry. Flatter sections aft increase lift for speed and economy, and the deep full keel with a complete sand shoe gives stability and protection from grounding.
In the cockpit, the Pilot 34 has double-wide helm and companion seats flanking the large hydraulically-assisted engine access hatch. The side lounges can double as berths with the removable backrests. A tilt-up console means easy access to electronics and wiring, and there is a built-in insulated cooler box as well as a standard transom door.
Below, the cabin has a large head complete with Corian covered vanity, lots of storage, a shower, and even a VacuFlush head.
The teak-trimmed galley offers plenty of storage, ample Corian counter space, a microwave, a dual cooktop, and a refrigerator and freezer. There is even a slide-out pantry for convenience. The large dinette easily converts to a double berth and includes plenty of storage.
Forward in the stateroom, hanging lockers and drawers will swallow gear for the weekend or a month. Extra-long innerspring berths guarantee a great night's sleep.
GOLDEN BEAR can sleep 4 adults comfortably with a large V berth in the forward forward stateroom and a convertible dinette in the main salon. She has a cedar lined locker hanging locker in the stateroom. Her comfortable salon has teak cabinetry and a teak and holly sole. The galley is to port and the dinette is to starboard with ultra leather seating and a teak table. Moving aft is a spacious head to port with a shower, electric head and a sink and vanity.
