WASABI is a shining example of a 48 Salon Express sporting low engine hours (420hrs). Her most notable factory option just might be optional third "Crew's Cabin". With the push of a button the port salon settee slides forward revealing an air-conditioned, full-beam "bat cave" hidden beneath the salon floor. Complete with queen berth, TV w/DVD & private head it serves as a quintessential kid's cruising lair. A testament to what was possible in yacht design during the advent stages of pod-driven boats in which Sabre was the leader of that era.
Another design element that sets the Sabre 48 apart is the extremely unique midship owner's cabin. A linear ship's galley to-port affords Sabre the opportunity to orient the main cabin parallel to-starboard. Now the owner's cabin can run the length, rather than beam of the boat. The result offers a wider queen berth walk-around & spacious owner's head featuring separate stall shower. Keeping to classic fashion the VIP cabin is forward of the galley complete with private head & separate stall shower.
All-together a clever 3-cabin / 3-head layout making her an ideal cruising platform capable of a breath-taking cruising speed of 27kts! If long-range cruising isn't on the menu she can also serve as an entertainer which is easy to single-hand believe it or not. Preparing fenders and dock lines is a drama-free event thanks to the SkyHook Joystick & helm door. You can't ask for much more in a forty-eight foot boat. Sprayed with AwlGrip Aqua-Mist "wasabi" green makes her a real head turner.
