THIS ONE IS THE MUCH SOUGHT AFTER TWIN YANMAR MODEL WITH LESS THAN 570 HOURS!
There is plenty of room for seating and relaxing on the bridge. There is even a Summer Kitchen option providing a grill, sink and icemaker aft of the centerline helm. Wide molded steps offer safe and secure footing to the covered aft deck. Going forward, there are wide, lighted and recessed walkways with overhead protection leading to the foredeck. A stainless steel Sampson post and dual roller pulpit is perfect for setting the anchor and the optional windlass makes retrieval a snap. All rails, hatches and portlights are now fashioned from 316L stainless steel for easy maintenance and great looks. All Mainships, including the 40, are featuring beautiful cherry wood interiors. All cabinets, drawers and tables are solid cherry and the optional cherry and holly sole is very traditional as well as serviceable. The extended salon includes an Ultra leather sofa, entertainment center with Bose audio system, and Luce flat screen TV. A starboard side galley offers a full size, dual voltage refrigerator and freezer, microwave, 3-burner range and oven, and even a coffee maker. Special attention has been given to general and dishware storage and the location for an under counter trash receptacle. To port of the lower station is a full dinette that seats four with a comfortable bench and two chairs. Forward, is a master stateroom with a centerline inner spring queen berth and plenty of hanging, drawer and locker storage. A second stateroom offers two single berths and an optional innovative desk arrangement, and the head, with a separate stall shower is accessible from the master stateroom or the companionway.
Lucky Us has all the factory options available except the washer/dryer. This is the only Mainship 40 with additional factory Custom Cherry Wood Cabinets added in the main salon. Much more was added after the factory options. All new electronics and electrical in late 2008 and early 2009. They also installed a new Fridge and Microwave.
The Flagship of Mainship's New Generation of Trawlers. Besides the especially spacious interior design, the 40 sports an expanded flybridge with plenty of seating and 2 tables perfectly suited for dining. The aft deck features a set of aluminum glass-paneled doors to really light up the salon. The large salon is bright and airy with 10 large windows. The Custom Cherry Wood interior used throughout the boat gives it a warm and rich feel as does the Teak and Holly sole floor. The salon layout has the galley aft to starboard while across on port is the leather sleeper sofa, forward of the sofa is the built-in high gloss dinette. The lower helm is opposite to starboard and has full instrumentation and a radar/chart plotter. The aft doors have drapes for privacy and feature a rollaway screen door so when the weather is right you can open all the windows with screens. The master is forward and features an island queen interspring mattress, and twin cedar closets. The head is just aft of the master on the starboard side with a vac-u-flush head, seperate shower/tub, medicine cabinet and sink with corian counter tops. Access to the head is available directly from the master or in the hallway just across from the guest cabin. The guest stateroom is across to port featuring twin berths that convert to a double with the provided filler cushion, a hanging locker and storage lockers. A stairway in the large aft cockpit leads you to the upper deck which is an entertainment piece all its own, with a hideaway Grill and sink and the deck space for foldable chairs around the installed round table on the aft deck. There is seating for 10 in the upper helm area. Forward is the helm, helm chair and electronics. Another addition to this 40 is a freezer in the upper helm area to carry additional frozen foods, ice or fish on those long cruises.
