Construction

Hull:

The hull was constructed from a female mold using Airex core with fiberglass and polyester resin.

Bulkheads:

All structural bulkheads are constructed out of 1/2" or 3/4' marine grade plywood.  Non-structural bulkheads are 3/8" and 1/2" and 1/4" depending on use and location.  All bulkheads will be taped with DBM 1708 and epoxy coated with epoxy fillets.  Structural bulkheads will be double taped.

Engine Beds:

Engine beds are fiberglass over foam core with 1/2" steel plates glassed inside to bolt engine mounts to .  Laminate is two 1808 and two DB 170 with three 1303 on the top. Drip pan under the engine is integral to the hull and isolated from the rest of the bilge.

Deck:

Deck is constructed with laminated deck beams under two layers of 1/4" plywood.  The deck beams are varnished and the bottom side of the plywood painted with Matterhorn White Awlgrip. The top of the deck is coated with three layers of epoxy and 10 oz. cloth and faired and painted with Awlgrip.

Cabin House:

The cabin house is constructed like the deck, except the cabin sides are 3/4" and 1/2' marine grade plywood with the insides being varnished teak.  The cabin house top is two layers of 1/4" marine grad plywood.  The house is constructed with exposed teak corner posts and laminated ash deck beams.

Interior Layout

Walking in from the aft deck on Irresistible you are immediately in the main salon.  Through the center double doors, there is a long "L" shape settee to starboard and a barrel chair to port.  The custom salon table has two folding leafs.  The settee converts to create a double berth.  The main electrical panel is in the port aft corner of the salon along with the battery switches.

The galley is to port and make a big "C" for ample working space and storage. Irresistible was built with a beautiful tile board around the counter, custom inset knife holder, foot pumps for both salt and fresh water.  There is drop in refrigeration and lower cupboards for storage.  Nicelyl equipped with a four burner propane stove.

Opposite the galley is a great forward facing sitting area with navigation station. This forward corner has additional storage and a great view with windows all around.  There is a large flat top for charts and or laptop, along with the essential electronics.

Below deck accomodates four adults.  The owners cabin is foward with a walk around queen.  There are port and starboard hanging lockers and drawers as well as long storage shelves.

The guest cabin is to port.  There is an upper and lower berth outboard.  There is storage in the side table and below the lower berth.

Across the hall to starboard is the head and shower. Simple, yet perfectly balanced with form and function. Good size sink and space in the head area.  The shower is also a good size and has a nice varnished teak bench and teak grate on the sole.

Flybridge

Irresistible has a fully enclosed flybridge with two pedestal seats and a "L" shape settee with table.  The captains chair is centered with all the navigation and engine controls comfortable located within arms reach.  There is a varnished teak helm on a Destroyer wheel.

The settee cushions and canvas are both light blue.  The table is teak and varnished in high gloss with two large folding leafs.

It is such a great place to sit and cruise with high 360 degree views.
