Construction

Solid fiberglass below the waterline with Kevlar-reinforced stem and stern bottom areas and vinlyester resins used in first two (2) laminates, all three keels. Above the waterline a combination of Knyex, mat and Airex are used for added resiliency as well as improved sound and thermal insulation.

The superstructure includes Knytex combined with end-grained balsa and/or Divinycell coring and surface mats (to reduce print-through). Cook gel coat is used on the superstructure and hull. Teak aft and side decks. Boat deck and fore deck are finished with Awlgrip GripTex non-skid.

Saloon

The saloon is entered from the fully covered aft deck through double Freeman welded aluminum weather tight doors w/ privacy window louvers. To starboard is an L-shaped Sunbrella covered settee with a hi-lo table. To port are 2 leather Lazy Boy swivel chairs with a cabinet between them.  For entertainment there is a 2024 55" Samsung Smart TV and a Bose sound system that is not hooked up.  There are hidden back-plated D-rings and straps for securing salon furniture while underway in heavy seas.  A phantom screen with custom wood work is installed inside the aft doors to keep out any bugs while allowing the breeze to enter the saloon.  A custom carpet and drapes along w/ Hunter Douglas louver blinds with cherry valances allow for ample light and add to the warm and inviting feeling.

Galley

The spacious galley on the Krogen 58' is more like a full size professional chef's kitchen. In addition to top-of-the-line appliances it offers excellent counter space and storage. A sea shell tile wall backsplash behind the stove and Corian Sahara counters will inspire any chef to create a masterpiece. There is a separate entrance from the starboard side deck through a Freeman welded aluminum dutch door w/ Textaline screen covering making for effortless provisioning. The galley is open to the salon allowing for uninterupted conversation with the guests while preparing meals.
